The Sister City Project's web site went public in October 2006. Visitors can register for an account on the site, but the main features can be viewed without having to log in. Our thanks to WCCN for hosting the site and to Sheldon Rampton for extensive technical support. Feedback about the site can be directed to sgoering@mwt.netMOTHER’S DAY GIFT
In May, we received a gift from longtime SCP supporter Susan Spiro honoring her mother, Violet Day, on Mother’s Day. Susan asked that this generous donation be used for the Chacocente women’s sewing project, since her mother has a lifelong love of sewing. Mrs. Day made her children’s clothes when Susan was little, and is still sewing.Some of the money Susan contributed is being used to bring a repair person to service the eight well-used Chacocente treadle sewing machines and to teach the women in the sewing cooperative about the machines’ maintenance.
